Dear Ringers,
Please see the attached poster for details of a fun and relaxed event we’re organising in Whilton: Bells, BBQ & Beer on 26th July 12.30pm - 4pm. It’s a great opportunity for both ringers and non-ringers to come together and enjoy an afternoon of ringing, food, and good company.
There’ll be burgers, hot dogs (including a vegetarian option), tea and cakes, and a pop-up village pub.
The bells at Whilton are a ground floor ring of 8, open to the church and easily accessible—perfect for introducing friends and family to ringing. There’ll also be chances for non-ringers to have a go! There will be open ringing run by the Whilton ringers and friends for anyone to join in and we would also like to give bands the opportunity to take over and show us what you can do.
How you can get involved:
- Please join us on the day
- Help us spread the word by sharing the attached poster with your ringing and non-ringing communities.
- Ringers are welcome to join in open ringing or book a slot for your band—just let us know who you are and when you'd like to ring.
- Ringing teachers will be on hand to support anyone who wants to try it out.
