Regret to say that Sheila Griggs passed away on 28th August after a short, non-covid, illness. For the last 3.5 years she was in a care home and was able to be visited by her daughter Hilary.  Because of family weddings and holidays the funeral will be on Monday 11th October with a short family committal at Bushbury Crematorium at 1.45pm followed by a service of celebration at St Joseph’s Church, Merry Hill, Wolverhampton at 3.00pm.  There is an open invitation to either or both.

Sheila learnt to ring at All Saints Oakham with Mary Horsley but much of her ringing was with guild members such as Christopher Groome. She rang 98 peals, of which 96 were for the Guild.

The relatives request no flowers but donations can be sent to MHA Engleberg Care Home, Ash Hill, Wolverhampton, WV3 9DR.  (MHA is a Methodist Homes charity that runs a number of specialist care homes)
